About Venerable Hang Truong: Born in Vietnam, Venerable Hang Truong grew up during the war, and was educated in United States,. He was ordained under Chinese tradition and educated in the Dharma under the direct tutelage of Master Hsuan Hua, the founder of the City of Ten Thousand Buddha Chinese Zen lineage. Master Hang Truong has worked and served multiethnic communities across Asia, America and Europe.
The Master embodies, teaches, and lives by multicultural, multi-disciplined, global centric values. He is very well known for his holistic, integral approach to modernize and integrate Buddhism into the fast changing world.
In 2002, he created Compassionate Service Society, a non profit organization that helps heal the body, mind and spirit. In 2003 he co-founded Hana Spiritual Retreat in Maui, Hawaii, aspires to be a spiritual center to bring key leaders of the world religions together to promote dialogues and cross-cultural understanding. In 2005, the Master launched community wide effort to help the victims and survivors of the Asian tsunami in Sri Lanka. In a world that is in dire need for love and caring, Venerable Hang Truong's innovative work and teaching bring invigorating spiritual uplift and healing, and transcend ethnocentrism and cultural divides. His promotions of peace and harmony for self and community, are indeed the new hallmarks of Buddhism in the 21st century.

ReplyDeleteLong hổ tượng trưng cho tánh tình và vọng tưởng, lúc nào cũng vọng động loạn xạ, khó mà làm chủ được chúng. Tình và tưởng chính là thứ mà ta cần làm thuần phục; khi thuần phục thì chân khí sẽ tự nhiên hội tụ và khi đó ĐAN (tức là sức nóng thuần chân) sẽ khởi dậy. Có sức nóng này thì tu mới đắc đạo.
Làm sao dưỡng sức nóng này?
Phải phối Khảm và Ly. Khảm là nước, hay Thủy Đại, là nguyên tố nước, vô biên vô giới hạn. Ly là hỏa, là Hỏa Đại, là nguyên tố lửa, cũng vô biên vô giới hạn.
Trong lúc long và hổ là thứ có giới hạn, gắn liền với bản ngã, Khảm Ly là thứ thường hằng bất biến
Nếu ta cần ‘hàng tâm’ tức là làm cho Long Hổ phải thuần tánh, thì ta cần ‘Phối Khảm Ly’, làm cho hai Đại vô hạn này hiển hiện trong cuộc sống hữu hạn. Khảm tức là nói tới lòng đại bi, bác ái, tình thương vô điều kiện. Ly tức là ám chỉ trí huệ siêu việt, trí bát nhã, vượt ra ngoài thời không.
Chỉ khi nào ta đem tình thương và trí huệ vào cuộc sống thì tức là ta phối hợp Khảm và Ly, Thuỷ Đại và Hỏa Đại, khi đó đương nhiên là đắc đạo rồi.
